Mukhtar Ansari's MLA Son Abbas Ansari Declared Absconder In Arms License Case

The police had lodged the FIR against Abbas Ansari on October 12, 2019.

Lucknow:

A special MP-MLA court in Lucknow has declared mafia-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari's son and Mau MLA Abbas Ansari an absconder in an arms license case.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate A K Srivastava passed an order to this effect on Wednesday after considering a police report.

The court fixed September 26 as the next date of hearing in the case.

Earlier, the special magistrate had issued an arrest warrant against Abbas and directed the police to arrest him and produce the MLA before it by July 27.

In their report submitted in the court, the police said they raided all possible places but Abbas could not be traced. They also said that Abbas was not appearing before the court and due to this, they were not able to execute the non-bailable warrant issued against him.

The police had lodged the FIR against Abbas on October 12, 2019.

According to the FIR, Abbas allegedly obtained a gun license from Lucknow and later got it transferred to Delhi. He purchased many arms in Delhi using the changed address and claimed that he was a famous shooter.

The police had filed a charge sheet against him on December 24, 2020.

"Jaiswal Has Run Ahead Of Gill": Ex-India Star's Massive T20 WC Verdict

Former India opener Aakash Chopra has suggested that Yashasvi Jaiswal is slightly ahead of Shubman Gill in the pecking order as captain Rohit Sharma's partner at the top in T20Is. Since making his debut last year, Jaiswal has been in stunning form in the shortest format of the game. Gill's form, on the other hand, has dipped since the ODI World Cup last year in India. With the T20 World Cup scheduled to be held later this year, Chopra feels Jaiswal will open the innings with Rohit during the tournament. "It's clear that Yashasvi Jaiswal has run ahead of Shubman Gill. Yashasvi is ahead in the two-horse race, Gill is lagging slightly behind. Gill was played in the first match, dropped in the second, and wasn't played in the third as well," Chopra said on his YouTube channel. Jaiswal helped India beat Afghanistan in the second T20I earlier this week, scoring a quickfire fifty. Considering his recent form across formats, Chopra emphasised that Jaiswal has ...
